The statement of cobalt free inks of KMI

KMI offers cobalt-free inks to comply with Eco-certifications/Eco-labels such as the Nordic Swan, German Blue Angel and Cradle to Cradle.

Eco-labels are a common feature of printed products to prove the material has been produced with products that are sustainable and not harmful to the environment. 

The agencies who regulate these standards ban the use of certain substances in the printing process. Cobalt compounds, which are an effective catalyst for the oxidative drying process of printing inks, fall into this banned category.

As a result, KMI has introduced cobalt free formulated inks which are listed below.
