Characteristics of Soy (soybean oil) ink

  • ① Increasing the soybean oil content of vegetable oil instead of petroleum oil reduces the volatile organic compounds (VOC) of the ink.
  • ② The use rate of vegetable oil is high, so biodegradability is improved at disposal.
  • ③ Excellent ink color reproducibility due to good ink transfer.
  • ④ The gloss of the prints is excellent.

Notes on using Soy (soybean oil) ink

Ink drying on paper may be slightly delayed compared to petroleum-based inks, which may not be suitable for coated paper and non-absorbent paper.

Soy (soybean oil) Ink mark

There are three types of Soy (soybean oil) Ink mark depending on the application.
    • ① Printed with Soy Ink

      Printed by the printer and its affiliates with Soy (soybean oil) Ink use this mark when attaching the Soy Seal mark to the print. However, when you use this mark, you must first sign into the SoySeal User Agreement.

    • ② Contains Soy Oil

      It is used for marking product container or product name of soybean oil ink manufactured by ink manufacturer.
      This mark is printed on our Soy (soybean based) ink.

    • ③ Contains Soy Protein

      It is used when the content of Soy Protein contained in the production of flexographic ink is more than 20% by the ink manufacturer.
